Exeter Airport, formerly Exeter International Airport, is the international gateway for the South West of England. Owned and operated by Regional & City Airports and with direct services to 40 destinations, Exeter Airport serves the counties of Devon and Cornwall.
With a core catchment of over 1.7m people and an annual leakage of around 2m to competing airports, Exeter saw an increase in annual passenger numbers to above 840,000 in 2016 - its fourth successive year of growth.
Exeter Airport wanted to take greater ownership of its pre-book sales and digital engagement, moving away from a system offered by the parking operator that managed its car parks.
Greater ownership for Exeter meant a more user-friendly experience and customer engagement more in keeping with its brand and identity. The Airport wanted to build a stronger product offering, adding products and services beyond parking, which would in turn improve non-aeronautical revenues.
Exeter Airport opted for Rezcomm’s fully managed service. This service enables senior management to focus on more pressing business matters, removing the need for additional resource or expertise to support digital sales activities.
The Airport recognised the need to become more pro-active with its customer base in order to realise its ambition to increase parking and ancillary revenue.
