Inverness Airport becomes the latest organisation to sign Rezcomm’s full suite of services, as the UK-based e-commerce company ramps up its expansion.

The fourth busiest airport in Scotland operates commercial passenger flights to European and UK domestic destinations, and its customers will now be able to pre-book their parking directly online before travelling, as well a host of other ancillary services including hotels, flights and holidays rather than through third party aggregators.

Graeme Bell – General Manager at Inverness Airport said: “We are very excited about this new partnership with Rezcomm and what it will bring to the airport not only in terms of customer experience but how we manage our digital engagement with our ever-growing passenger base. Pre-book parking has seen huge success in other airports and is rapidly becoming the norm in terms of what customers expect when they travel. Rezcomm’s services mean that Inverness can really keep at the top of its game when it comes to e-commerce and online digital sales.”

As well as the e-commerce, and fully managed Online Travel Agency Service, Rezcomm are to provide CRM services, concentrating the many different data streams from a customer’s booking and collating it into a very powerful tool called Rezcomm Engage. The airport centric CRM solution will enable branded, personalised and targeted marketing of promotions that passengers will actually want to make use of. This kind of marketing has been shown to have ‘click-through-rates’ well above the industry average.

Marc Ive, Rezcomm’s Travel Services Director, said: “We are pleased to welcome Inverness Airport into our growing Rezcomm family, and are looking forward to working with them for many years to come. We are confident that we can add a real boost to their non-aero revenue, digital engagement and ultimately provide their customers with an even greater experience whenever they fly.”

Billed as ‘the gateway to the Highlands of Scotland’, Inverness Airport is part of the Highlands and Islands Airports Limited group. It served 874K passengers in 2017, and recently completed an expansion of the terminal building.
